School is by no means the only place for educational processes. Personality development and practical and social learning are often a matter of everyday education. It also shapes social inequality.
Through education, people are enabled to deal with the material world, with the small and large cultural achievements of human history, with other people, and with themselves.
Education is a human right, and every person is entitled to meet their learning needs – for their entire lifetime. It is on the basis of education that the identity of the individual and that of society develop. It is a prerequisite for sustainable development, reducing global poverty, and peaceful coexistence. Education empowers people to improve their political, social, cultural, social, and economic situation.
The international community has committed to improving the education situation worldwide. This is Development Goal 4 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: "Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all."
When promoting education in development cooperations, the Federal Government is guided by the internationally agreed goals. It pursues the mission of lifelong learning: from childhood to old age, every person must be able to acquire knowledge and skills.
"sozialerstuhl" mainly offers training and qualification opportunities for the 50+ generation, as well as practice-oriented educational seminars.
We focus on adult continuing education and training.
