Training and qualification opportunities
The 50+ generation is the largest age group in the German population. Around 12.2 million people in gainful employment in Germany are over the age of 50, therefore making them still the second-largest group of employees. Statisticians expect that by 2060, just under half of Germans will be over 50. In order to score points on the labour market, this generation needs to have the right skills.
"sozialerstuhl" offers professional training and qualification opportunities on various current topics. The organisation plans, organises and conducts events. Qualified speakers convey their experiences from everyday life in a practice-oriented manner. When returning to work, in addition to the questions of whether I want to return to my old company, go back to my original job or want a professional reorientation, I also need to critically question whether my prolonged absence will meet today's needs at my workplace.
- for people aged 50+: individual seminars with the aim of reintegration into working life after long periods of unemployment, illness, parental leave, or time off to care for relatives. The knowledge that is learned is deepened in mediated work experience placements in regional companies. The aim is to further develop the participants' own personality and self-management in addition to their industry and specialist knowledge.
- for working professionals, refresher courses and qualification measures are offered by qualified personnel after individual consultation. Companies thus have the opportunity to better retain their staff, recruit new employees, and adjust their operations to demographic change in order to avoid prolonged absence due to illness.
- The proceeds from the 3 areas of operation are allocated to the non-profit association "sozialerstuhl": help with official and social matters for the elderly and disabled.
